Our Story

Sean Brock has spent his career exploring the soul of American food. A James Beard Award–winning chef, he rose to prominence at Husk in Charleston, where his devotion to heritage ingredients and live-fire cooking redefined Southern cuisine. For Brock, food is about memory and connection — a way to slow down and create a sense of place.

Ben Norton began his journey alongside Brock at Husk, developing a mastery of wood-fired cooking and a deep respect for the rhythm of the seasons. Now in Los Angeles, he brings a grounded sensibility shaped by California’s markets, farms, and coastal abundance.

Together, they’ve built Darling as more than a restaurant: it’s a space where food and music set the pace for the night. Every dish is touched by flame, every moment soundtracked by vinyl. Their vision is simple — fire in the kitchen, vinyl in the lounge, and experiences made with purpose.
